have been experienced in the industry so far. Peak and Dale Solutions has developed great interest in

understanding the principles associated with webserver scripting. Your supervisor has engaged you in in the

initiative and tasked you with the development of a research document demonstrating the principles of web

server scripting. In the research document you should:

a) Explain the principles of web server scripting [P1].

b) Compare server-side and client-side scripting [M1].

c) Evaluate the combined use of client and web server scripting. [D 1 ]

Part B Timeline: (^) Mon 1st Mar 2021 - Fri 28th May 2021

Task 2: Examining the learner’s ability to use web server scripting (This provides evidence for

assessment criteria P2, P3, P4, M2 & M3 )

Peak and Dale Solutions has been invited to a web technology research conference during which the company

is expected to show case web server scripting approaches. In preparation for the conference, your supervisor

has tasked you with development of respective documented web server scripts. To achieve this you are

expected to:

a) Use web server scripting to identify user’s browser and screen resolution. [P 2 ].

b) Upload files to a web server using web server scripting. [P3].

c) Implement, test and document a simple login system using web server scripting. [P4].

d) Edit the content of a text file on a web server using web server scripting. [M2].

e) Create a multi-user, dynamic login system using web server scripting. [M3].

Part C Timeline: (^) Mon 1st Mar 2021 - Fri 28th May 2021

Task 3 : Examining the learner’s Understanding of the Issues affecting web server scripting (This

provides evidence for assessment criteria P5, P6, M4, D2 & D 3 )

During the research conference, a client by the name Domicile Fryz has been interested in what web server

scripting can help do in modern day business. The client has therefore requested your company to dvelop an

online ordering system for their business which should among other expectations capture client details, allow

client safe login and facilitation of ordering as well as generate order reports. You have been tasked with the

delivery of the respective project documentation. To achieve this you should:

a) Implement, test and document a web content management system to meet the defined needs. [P5].

b) Explain the issues surrounding web server scripting. [P6]
