Call for Papers: NLIU Law Review - Volume XI, Issue I, Essays (university) of Medicine

The nliu law review is a bi-annual peer-reviewed law journal published by students of national law institute university, bhopal. They are accepting manuscripts for volume xi, issue i, with parameters for evaluation based on grammar, structure, contribution to existing literature, contemporary relevance, and research. Submissions must be made through the electronic form on their website by 18th july 2021, and must adhere to specific style and citation guidelines. Manuscripts can be in the form of articles, case notes, legislative comments, or book reviews.

The NLIU Law Review is a peer-reviewed law
journal published bi-annually by the students of
National Law Institute University, Bhopal.
We are pleased to announce that we are accepting
submissions of manuscripts for publication in
Volume XI, Issue I of the journal.
PARAMETERS FOR EVALUATION
Grammar/Language
The style of writing should be academic, without
errors of syntax, grammar and punctuation and the
language should be crisp and concise.
Structure/Logical Coherence
The manuscript should follow a logical scheme of
arrangement and must ideally address a question of
law, a grey area or a hypothesis and provide a
conclusive analysis of the same.
Contribution to Existing Literature
The manuscript must contain more than just a
restatement of existing laws, facts and analyses and
should of itself be novel. The manuscript must add
to the existing corpus of knowledge on a particular
topic.
Contemporary Relevance
The manuscript should shed light upon recent
developments relating to the topic and provide
reasons as to why the subject matter is relevant at the
present moment.
Referencing and Research
The manuscript must be based on in-depth research
on the topic selected and should provide references
to the sources in the prescribed mode of citation.
Over-citation as well as a lack of citation must be
avoided.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
I. Criteria โ€“ Language, structure, contribution to
existing literature, contemporary relevance,
research.
II. Style Guidelines โ€“ The main body of the
manuscript is to be in the following format:
Font - Times New Roman, Text Size - 12,
Line Spacing - 1.15, Alignment - Justified.
III. Citation Standards โ€“ Citations must conform
to standards laid down in the Oxford University
Standard for the Citation of Legal Authorities
(4th ed., 2012). Submissions must use only
footnotes as a form of citation. Substantive
footnoting is highly discouraged.
IV. General Guidelines โ€“ Manuscripts submitted
must not be written by more than two authors.
Manuscripts must contain an abstract of 250-
300 words. Submissions must be made only
through the electronic form available on our
website. All submissions must be in (.docx)
format. Please note that the manuscript itself
should not contain any information that can be
used to identify the author.
V. Types of Submissions and Requirements โ€“
โˆ’ Articles: (5,000-10,000 words)
โˆ’ Case Notes: (2,000-5,000 words)
โˆ’ Legislative Comment: (1,000-3,000 words)
โˆ’ Book Reviews: (1,000-3,000 words)
The word limit is exclusive of the abstract, and
exclusive of footnotes.
All submissions are to be made only
through the electronic form before or
at 23:59 hours, 18 July 2021.
