EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 26 - SMOKE-FREE LAW
Signed: May 16, 2017
Section 3. PROHIBITED ACTS (Following acts are declared unlawful &
prohibited)
a. Smoking within enclosed public place
b. A persons-in-charge to allow or tolerate smoking in places enumerated
prohibited
c. Any person to sell, distribute or purchase tobacco products to & from
minors
d. For minor to smoke, sell buy cigarettes products
e. Selling or distributing tobacco products in school, public playground, and
recreational facilities for minors or within 100 meters from any point of
perimeter.
f. Placing ant stall, booth and other displays to areas outside the premises of
point of sale location or adult only policy.
The smoke –free law which will protect the public from exposure to
secondhand smoke in indoor and public places.
Implementing guidelines or rules and regulations
The city should organize a task force or working group to prepare and
implement an enforcement plan.
Aside from oriented on their roles and responsibilities, they should first
be a strong advocate of the campaign.
Prepare an advocacy plan that will help in strengthening commitments,
consolidate efforts.
Post adequate and visible ‘NO SMOKING’ signs, it should be posted in
all indoor and public places.
Informational billboards on the hazards of smoking and important
provisions of the law must be placed in public places within the city.
Public education helps build a broad foundation of support. Thru an
intensified mass media campaign which will disseminate the
information to a much larger audience.
The law enforcers must be well oriented on the provisions of the law
In order to sustain these activities, the local government must allocate
funds to support it including other operational expenses.

 Impact evaluation should also be done to examine the progress made towards the long range goals like how the implementation of the law has affected health indicators. CITY ORDINANCE PROVIDING MANAGEMENT CODE WITHIN THE VACINITY IN EVERY BARANGAY  This ordinance provides for the traffic and pedestrian rules and regulations within the jurisdiction of Barangay 2, Gingoog City.  Whereas the rampant mushrooming of vehicles, both private and public transports, has brought traffic gridlock in minor roads including the vicinity of Barangay 2, which has caused inconsiderable discomfort to motorist, students in nearby schools and residence.  The security and safety of the residents, students and motorist are the primary concern  Needs to address all these and put things in their proper perspective by providing for an efficient traffic management, purposely to maintain and orderly and smooth traffic and sufficient movement of motorist, students and residents with the vicinity of our barangay.
