Chapter 1
INTRODUCTION
1.1 INTRODUCTION
In this modern world everything can be controlled and accessed without the presence of a particular person- that which the time constraint of the modern world demands. This concept is implemented in a complete way through the Pet Management. It is not practical in today’s life to spend much time only being dedicated for a particular work. Pet shop management system (PSMS) will handle the animal’s record, pet shop management e- commerce web application. The users can view various pets up for sale and can add to cart and checkout. Admin can manage the orders and the pets. it has many functionalities such as admin panel for management of pets and categories and orders and cart functionalities. The pet retail industry is growing at a faster speed than the past years. Total sales in 1994 were 17 billion dollars, while actual sales in 2010 were 48.35 billion with 2011 sales projected to reach 50.84 billion dollars. The pet retail segment has become the 7th largest retail segment in the India .A pet shop or pet store is a retail business which sells different kinds of animals to the public. A variety of animal supplies and pet accessories are available all over the world in this industry. Many pet stores offer shopping with their dog but there are many pet owners who are not comfortable with shopping with their dog and prefer staying indoors to shop for their daily needs as its more convenient and hassle free.
1.2 PURPOSE
This project is compulsory as it is part of the college syllabus and as core subject. VB came across my mine when choosing the suitable development for the project as it is my system required offline module. The reason behind this system is that I’ve developed a new system that can help to reduce the paper work of a pet shop .So I decided develop a Pet shop system as my final year project.
1.3 SCOPE
I am responsible to back-end part of the system. Allowing administrator do all the maintenance in the system. Allowing all users to register and use our system. And design the basic function to reduce the workload of the users such as sales module.
1.4 OBJECTIVES
The specific objectives of the project include: The main objective is to obtain a better variety of pet animals that can be for selling. The proposed system would help to minimize the difficulties faced by the pet shop owner in maintaining all task of shop. The system will provide description of various dieses of pet animals, various treatments for pet animals.
the system activities can be obtained, from which the decision about the strategies to be followed for effective system study and analysis can be taken.

SYSTEM ANALYSIS
3.1 PROPOSED SYSTEM
The main objective of Pet shop Management System is to enhance and upgrade the existing system by increasing its efficiency and effectiveness. The software improves the working methods by replacing the existing manual system with the computer-based system .The pet shop Management System automates each and every activity of the manual system and increase its throughput. Thus the response time of the system is very less and it works very fast. The pet Shop Management System provides the uses a quick response with very accurate information regarding the users etc. Any details or system in an accurate manner, as and when required. The transaction reports of the system can be retried as and when required. Thus, there is no delay in the availability of any information, whatever needed, can be captured very quickly and easily. Reduce the maintenance cost, Security is very important aspect of the design and should cover areas of hardware reliability, fall back procedures, physical security of data and provision for detection of fraud and abuse. The physical construction, which follows the logical design, produces actual program software, files and a working system.
3.2 FEASIBILITY STUDY
An important outcome of the preliminary investigation is the determination that the system requested is feasible. Feasibility study is carried out to select the best system that meets the performance requirements. Feasibility study is both necessary and prudent to evaluate the feasibility of the project at the earliest possible time. It involves preliminary investigation of the project and examines whether the designed system will be useful to the organization. Months or years of effort, thousand formillions of money and untold professional embarrassment can be averted if an in-conceived system is recognized early in the definition phase. The different types of feasibility are: Technical feasibility, Operational feasibility, Economical feasibility.
3.3 TECHNICAL FEASIBILITY
Technical Feasibility deals with the hardware as well as software requirements. Technology is not a constraint to type system development. We have to find out whether the necessary technology, the proposed equipment have the capacity to hold the data, which is used in the project, should be checked to carry out this technical feasibility. The technical feasibility issues usually raised during the feasibility stage of investigation includes these: This software is running in windows 2000 Operating System, which can be easily installed. The hardware required is Pentium based server. The system can be expanded.
3.4 BEHAVIORAL STUDY
This feasibility test asks if the system will work when it is developed and installed. Operational feasibility in this project: The proposed system offers greater level of user-friendliness. The proposed system produces best results and gives high performance. It can be implemented easily .So this project is operationally feasible
3.5 ECONOMICAL FEASIBILITY
Economic Feasibility deals about the economic impact aced by the organization to implement a new system. Financial benefits must equal or exceed the costs. The cost of conducting a full system, including software and hardware cost for the class of application being considered should be evaluated. Economic Feasibility in this project: The cost to conduct a full system investigation is possible. There is no additional manpower requirement. There is no additional cost involved in maintaining the proposed system

Operating System: Windows 11. Coding Language: Java. Tools: Android Studio IDE Library support: SDK, JDK, NDK.

CONCLUSION AND FUTUREWORK
The development of this Pet shop Management System is great improvement over the manual system which uses lots of manual work and paper. Computerization of the system speeds up the process. The Pet shop Management System is fast, efficient and reliable, Avoids data redundancy and inconsistency. It contains all the functional features described in objective of the project. The Future scope of this project is to develop a system that can accurately allowing administrator do all the maintenance in the system. Allowing all users to register and use system and designing the basic function to reduce the workload of the users such as scales module, users will feel very easy to work on system. The Software provides accuracy along with a pleasant interface. Make the present manual system more system more interactive, speedy and user friendly
