Answer: Delegation is a process to assign responsibilities from one person to another person. If a project is assign to a team it is very important for a team leader to delegate responsibilities to his team members thus it reduces workload, stress of the team, team is able to complete his project in the given time and a team leader is able to focus on important tasks or on the prioritized tasks. Additionally, delegation of responsibilities allows a team to work on one’s professional development. I will delegate responsibilities to a team according to the following points: Analysation of responsibilities: To complete a project, there are numerous tasks to be done and I am not able to complete all the tasks by myself in the given time so I have to analyse the responsibilities that I have to be done in the given time and also I have to analyse the responsibilities which I have to assign to other members. Assign responsibilities to right members: It is very important to assign responsibilities to right team members because if I delegate a task to a team member who is not capable of doing it so I have to face consequences. Therefore, I will identify the member which fits best for that responsibility by analysing his skills, weaknesses and strengths. Define the responsibilities: I will explain the task to each member in depth so that they have an idea that what he has to do. Also, I will give instructions and give information about our milestones which he has to achieve in the given time. Guide the team: I will keep an eye on each member so that team will able to done his work properly and also it will be helpful in helping them when they need. If a team member is facing any kind of problem, I will direct, guide and teach him. Feedback: I will ask for daily feedback so that if there is any mistake occurred we can resolve it at early stage and also appreciate the work team members who have done their task flawlessly. With the help of feedback I am able to know the areas which needs improvement so that I will work on it.
