How would you find a sponsor? I will look at sponsors that have previously supported Samvaad to launch its monthly magazine editions. We can reach out to them with a pitch and ask them if they would consider re-investing in us. We could also look for companies who might co-relate with our theme of the month. For example, for the month of December, we could pitch to food and beverage providing companies. Basically, find people whose goals and interests align with us Which media will you use? Will you leverage LinkedIn? Yes. LinkedIn can be used to connect with organisations. Having a good network on linkedin helps. Along with that word of mouth can also play a vital role. We could even approach local businesses to see if they are interested If yes, which filters will you apply while searching for the companies or people? Our target audience should be clear. We will target both big and local brands. Our sponsors should understand and connect with what we do. Will you go for startups or established companies? Both Which department within a company do you think deals with sponsorship and events? Marketing When do people accept your request? People will accept our request only if they feel what we do is relevant to their line of work. Most importantly, our pitch should stand out Will you write an InMail or wait for them to accept your request? I would say waiting for them to accept makes our pitch sound more natural and genuine. How would you hit up a conversation? ‘ Talk about our line of work and how it is relevant to theirs
How will the conversation transition towards your sponsorship pitch? Discuss commonalities in our work and then go on to ask if they would like to collaborate What will your sponsorship pitch look like? It should be formal, appealing, and unique at the same time. Highlight the shared interests and the mutual benefits that both of us will receive. Why will the company agree for the same? What do they have in it for themselves? We could offer them advertising and promotion free of cost What deliverables will you be providing them with? Social media promotions, advertisings in magazines etc Will you be promoting them? If yes, how? We could promote them through posters, on social media and in our magazines How will you ensure a good experience for the company in turn helping you build a good relationship with them in the long run? We will see to it that benefits to both parties are not compromised on either end. I will also make sure to have clear communication to avoid misunderstandings and always work in line with our shared values and goals.
