Walt Whitman was a supporter of ethnic cleansing manifestations.
He was a part of the free soul movemEndlesslyting against the expansion
of slavery.
American writers tried to show that they are against slavery.
Anti-abolitionist.
He is often called the father of free verse. There are no restrictions occur
in the poem, also there is no rhyme scheme.
His well-known work is Leaves of Grass 1855.
The main themes of Leaves of Grass are Democracy, nature, love and
Friendship.
By the time of Whitman, they started inventiveness with language,
through individual neologizing and provincial variant usages.
He aimed to be the first “ National expresser, who wants to see the
America united. Through his poems, we can see the enthusiastic love of
America.
He glorifies the individual, because our families, social group and
institutions, communities and nations all are ultimately nothing but a
collection of individuals, and thus the individual is the most basic truth.
Summary and Analysis
1. The poet inspires the readers to see things in the way he sees it.
2. Poet goes back to his birthplace, and standing there he recalls all
his memories.
3. ‘Ninth month' indicates the birth.

Out of the Cradle endlessly Rocking

 Walt Whitman was a supporter of ethnic cleansing manifestations.  He was a part of the free soul movemEndlesslyting against the expansion of slavery.  American writers tried to show that they are against slavery.  Anti-abolitionist.  He is often called the father of free verse.   1. We can see the limitations of Italian Opera singer, they stand alone on the stage and sings, usually expressing some kind of sorrow.
  2. Now there is no singer, only himself. That loneliness inspired him to write. When he got back to that place, the loneliness recalls the perfection.
  3. There is an echo of general Americans as well. Merging of the poet as an individual and gloomy past (Civil War)
  4. He recalls the birds that migrated from Alabama, showing the attachment he had with his mother.
  5. When the bird starts singing, he shifts his identity to a bird’s identity. Every race in America is considered together, with no differences or divisions, only Americans.
  6. She bird is lost and the bird starts singing aloud. The poet waits for his inspiration to come back. He is waiting to see the changes that come into his mind of Americans.
  7. Love indicates the sense of love for the lands and loves for his skills. The passion about his country.
  8. Post is evoking both live and death. He-bird listening to the coming back od she-bird. She-bird merges with the image of the mother. The power of inspiration is shown in the images of mother.
  9. He is so happy when he acheives the clash between poet and bird.
  10. “ A word then” – A biblical connotation in the word ‘word', assumes the image of divine God.
  11. The word death is repeated five times each stands for a complete negation of physical death, and death stand to signify American Romanticism.
