‘Okay…I get that…and I guess just putting money aside for a minute…. just to check….do you still WANT to be part of the programme and see how it will help you to [GOAL]?
-Yeah, why do you feel it would, though?
-Okay. So I can see that money might be an issue here…
-Ok well, just to see if I can help you on this call… if you were to think about it a little bit… is there a way that we could break down the investment that… would… work for you?
-Ok, well, one way we do it is to split it up over x months…
-would that allow you to get the help you need so that you can [GOAL]...
-Or do you feel you might need to split it up more?
-Okay, so how would you like to move forward from here?
-Okay…so we have a few different options for moving forward from here…option 1…if you think it’s appropriate…is just to give the programme a go for the next 30 days…see how the progress goes for you…
-and then if it’s for you… we can look at extending from there…if it’s not something you want to do after that time, we can just cancel and you don’t lose out on anything…and then option 2 is just throwing the first £50 towards it.
We do that not to ‘lock in your spot’ or anything like that. It’s just a signal to yourself and to us…that you are actually committed to doing this and that this goal matters to you…
-So, which feels more doable for you right now?
-No worries…what we can always do then is just schedule a follow-up call or if you can get back to us in the next 24 hours through text
You:
“Yeah, I hear you… When you say ‘a lot of money,’ can you help me understand what that means to you exactly?”
You (curious tone):
“Totally makes sense. Just so I can understand better… based on what you told me earlier, how much do you feel it’s costing you — mentally, physically, even emotionally — to keep dealing with [insert their problem] every month?”
( Let them talk. )
“Look, I’m not here to pressure you. But if this is something that can truly change your life — and you know it’s the right next step — what’s really stopping you?”
“It’s really just the total amount… it’s a lot for me right now.”
“Yeah, I hear you — and I respect that. Just so I understand… is the amount high because of where you’re at financially right now, or because you’re not used to investing this much in yourself?”
( Pause and let them talk. This question is HUGE — it forces self-awareness. )
They’re stuck on the sticker shock.
“Totally get that — and honestly, most people I work with felt the exact same way. But let me ask you this…”
“If this program helped you finally solve this — get in shape, feel confident again, break out of this cycle — and you had those results for the next 2-5 years … what would that actually come out to per month or per day?”
( You’re reframing the value: Long-term ROI > short-term expense. )
“Like if you broke it down — it’s probably less than what you spend on [Uber Eats, Starbucks, or whatever their lifestyle leak is]. Wouldn’t that be a better tradeoff?”
( You can even calculate it live: “This is $____ total — over 10 years, that’s like $__ per month. What’s more expensive: the number today, or the cost of staying stuck?”_ )
“So would it help if we looked at a way to split that up or make it more
