Thought Leader,

Technology & Solutions

Provider Geokno India Private Limited July 2024

Geokno : Incubation

Geokno India was incubated in IIT Kanpur in

2009, promoted by the faculty members and

young researchers from Geo-informatics

Laboratory. Today, Geokno is driven by industry

experts with decades of on ground experience

in LiDAR technology.

Looking to mature LiDAR technology in India,

GMR Group acquired the majority stake in

Geokno in 2012. Our expertise combined with

the strength of the GMR group, one of the

largest infrastructure developers in India, we

are now the premier firm in the Geospatial

Domain.

Our Asset Base

1 high-end Airborne LiDAR Sensor Riegl 780-II-S

1 P68 Aircraft – captive long-term lease

1 Cessna T206H Aircraft – owned

Aerial Cameras Phase One 150 MP RGB and NIR In addition to the existing asset portfolio, our future pipeline consists of 2 aircrafts, 2 set of LiDAR / city mapping equipment, drones etc. Growing portfolio of Assets

Our

Offerings

Digital Twin  BIM (Building Information Modeling) of the complete airport infrastructure coupled with sensors supports predictive analysis of O&M rather than reactive.  All departments of the airport working off the same GIS dashboard can take informed technology supported decisions for improved efficiency and effectiveness while the impact is visible to all. GIS Dashboard  Simulations aid in assessing the consequences of decisions, leading to optimized solutions for space management, passenger flow, and baggage handling.  By leveraging BIM, sensors, and GIS, airports can elevate their operational capabilities, improving overall performance and passenger experience.

Airport Planning and Design  Geospatial data is used to analyze terrain, land use patterns, and environmental factors towards technology supported airport planning and design.  This includes determining suitable locations for runways, taxiways, terminals, water resource optimization, solar potential optimization and other infrastructure components while considering factors such as earthwork calculations, obstacle limitation surfaces and environmental impact.  Geospatial technology is integrated into air traffic management systems to monitor and manage the movement of aircraft both on the ground and in the air.
