The changes to the BSc (Hons) and MSc Nursing programmes effective from September 2020. The programme now offers specializations in Mental Health Nursing or Adult Nursing. The curriculum consists of three parts: Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3, with an optional Honours Year for BSc students. a detailed breakdown of the modules, credits, and practice learning experiences for each part of the programme.

Part 1 = 6 x 20 credit modules at SCQF L
Part 2 = 4 x 30 credit modules at SCQF L
Part 3 = 3 x 40 credit modules at SCQF L
Optional Honours Year
Part 4 = 120 credits at L10 OR 100 credits at L10 + 20 credits at L9.

Students continuing Pt 2 in Sept 2020 will be entering their Pt 2 practice learning experiences, They will have undertaken online theory to allow them to continue while supernumerary placements were paused. Therefore you will be supporting students in Pt2 of the programme who have had a maximum of 14 weeks placement experience in Pt 1. Assuming access to placements from September 2020 all students in practice in Term 1 of the academic year will be undertaking Pt 2 and Pt 3 placements and will also be required to make up hours missed from Pt 1 over the duration of these placements.
