Basic Patient Position The patient sits erect facing the bucky, midsagittal planein the midline of the film, coronal plane parallel to thefilm interpupillary line parallel to the floor. The chin israised to bring the orbital meatal line at 45 degrees to thefilm.In some centers the patient is imaged mouth open todemonstrate the sphenoid sinuses.
