Introduction
A network is a set of devices connected by communication links. A computer network is connected with each other through a transmission medium such as wires, cables etc. A node can be a computer, printer, scanners or any other device capable of sending or receiving data generated by other nodes on the network. The purpose of having computer network is to send and receive data stored in other devices over the network. These devices are often referred as nodes.
If your business operates multiple computers, there are important reasons you should connect them through a Local Area Network or LAN. Utilizing the combined power of computer and networking resources can improve productivity, security, management, and more. Most newer computers include software that supports a simple LAN configuration that supports file and print sharing. However, in order to fully understand the full benefits of LAN, it will be necessary to add a centralized computer to manage and optimize the network. Provides centralized data, applications, and secure internal network access to all computers with shared access to all networked devices. A server-based LAN has several benefits that are tailor made for small business.

Enterprise does not require a large number of computers. This is a star topology network. For company managers, Laptops are connected via a wireless router. It is established in the room
Protocols for the Network Servers
Active Directory Server:-
The LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) protocol is the Active Directory core protocol, which means that LDAP is the only wire protocol that is supported by Active Directory. LDAP is the preferred and most common way of interacting with Active Directory.
Network-Attached Storage (NAS):-
NAS is file-level computer data storage server connected to a computer network providing data access to a heterogeneous group of employee. The client/server model, which is implemented with file-sharing protocols, is mechanism for remote file sharing. In this model, the clients mount remote file systems that are available on dedicated file servers. Network File System protocol (NFS) and Common Internet File System protocol (CIFS) used on NAS.
Proxy Server:-
Proxy Server is a caching and forwarding HTTP web proxy. It has a wide variety of uses, including speeding up a web server by caching repeated requests, caching web, DNS and other computer network lookups for a group of people sharing network resources, and aiding security by filtering traffic.
Web Server:-
The primary function of a web server is to store, process and deliver web pages to employee. The communication between employee and server takes place using the Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP).
