- NRE is available for download for Windows, Linux, MacOS and Debian.
- NRE updates will be noted in the monthly NetWorker Newsletters. NetWorker Runtime Environment (NRE) provides an installer package to deliver a current Java Runtime Environment (JRE) for NetWorker. It is recommended that customers use the latest NRE which is provided as part of the NetWorker product entitlement; however, customers are free to continue to use any NetWorker supported JRE version they have licensed directly from Oracle. Existing NetWorker users that wish to use NRE should reference the NetWorker Runtime Environment Readme Guide for details on the upgrade. NetWorker Runtime Environment is versioned starting at 8.0.x since NRE currently provides Java 8. The Java version provided with NRE will not directly correspond to Java updates, however new NRE versions are released with Java updates as necessary. TRAINING and RESOURCES EOL of NetWorker Troubleshooting Tool (NTT)
NetWorker Troubleshooting Tool (NTT) was brought to end of life on January 3, 2023 due to several factors leading to a significant
reduction in usage over the last 12 months.
All users including Customers, Partners and Dell employees should prepare for the removal of the Tool from their system(s).
Individual Command Line utilities and reference material are now available on the NetWorker Download Tools Page located here on
Dell Central Site at https://central.dell.com/solutions/Networker-Tools. Individual Command Line Utilities Currently Available:
NUCK – This tool is aims at providing a way to quickly review the Networker environment compatibility before upgrading Networker
server.
vProxy Health Check Tool – vProxy health check utility provides an automated, efficient and human readable way to perform first-
step/basic self-diagnostic for NetWorker VMware Protection (NVP) appliance.
NSRDDRCHK – The NetWorker cross check tool (nsrddrchk) provides the ability to perform cross checks between the NetWorker
media database (MMDB) and Data Domain mtree contents.
SHOWRES – It is a tool for NetWorker resource configuration overview. It uses dynamic parsing for recognized structured data of
NetWorker resource database..
NSRGET – Provides log gathering and reporting for issues.
RAWRENDER – Standalone install of the nsr_render utility that’s included within NW client install - allows you to easily render .raw
files locally.
DDPCONNCHK: It can be used to test ddboost connectivity for NetWorker servers, storage nodes, and clients. This is effective for
testing ddboost user credentials and full DD communication from a given host.
NSRTools — Collects and presents multiple graphical overviews of backup distribution, activities, logs and diagnostic data.
