(^) It is the highest judicial tribunal in the country. (^) It is located in new Delhi.
Power :-
(^) Supervision over all courts in India. (^) It can pass any sentence. (^) Purely appellate court in criminal cases. Appellate Court :- Court that hears and reviews the appeals from legal cases ; that have been already heard and ruled in lower courts.
(^) It is the highest tribunal for state. (^) It is located in capital of every state. Power :- (^) It may try any offence and pass any sentence authorised by law. (^) High court has power to give death certificate. High Court
Main High Court judge is called Chief
Judicial. [CJ]
Magistrates
Judicial Magistrate First class Judicial Magistrate Second class Judicial Magistrate Executive Magistrate Magistrate:- An officer who acts as a judge in cases involving less serious crimes. When a person is convicted at one trial for 2 or more offences, twice the amount of punishment , which a magistrate is authorised can be passed.
Magistrates Courts

Others Courts
Juvenile Courts:-
- (^) For belove the age of 18 years.
- (^) Juvenile offenders are children who are accused of having committed a
crime.
- (^) Under ‘The Children Act-1960’=provides treatment, training and
rehabilitation.
- (^) Juvenile court is usually presided First class woman Magistrate and 2
social workers of whom at least one shall be woman.
Labour Courts:-
- (^) For industrial disputes or disputes arising in scope of employment.
Family Court:-
- (^) For disputes relating to marriage and family affairs.
- (^) Established to promote conciliation and secure speedy settlement.
