What is cloud?
- The term cloud refers to a^ network^ or^ internet

- FRONT END :^ It consists of interfaces and web applications that are required to access the cloud computing platforms

- BACK END: backend refers to the cloud itself. It consists of all resources to provide services. It comprises of data storage , virtualization , services , servers.
Deployment models
Deployment model define the type of access to the cloud , i.e., how the cloud is located? There are four types of access
- public cloud
- Private cloud
- Hybrid cloud
- Public cloud:^ The public cloud allows systems and services to
be easily accessible to the general public

- Private cloud:^ The private cloud allows systems and services to
be accessible within an organization. It offers security.

- Hybrid cloud:^ The community cloud allows systems and
services to be accessible by group of organizations.

IAAS provides access to fundamental resources such as physical machines , virtual machines E g: NTT communications , go grid
platform as a service
PAAS provides all the facilities required to support the complete life cycle of building and delivering web applications E g : azure , amazon web services
software as a service
SAAS model allows to use software applications as a service to end users E g : google , Facebook

computing
- The basic difference between edge computing and cloud computing lies in the place where the data processing takes place

- Experts believe the true potential of edge computing will become apparent when 5G networks go mainstream in a year now
