  1. Was your test chemical effective? Briefly explain. Looking from my groups pictures, the chemical test was effective by disinfecting
  2. Was your test chemical more effective that the lab disinfectant? Briefly explain. 10 % bleach was the disinfect. And H202 was able to disinfect the bacteria entirely in 10 mins.
  3. Was your test chemical bactericidal or bacteriostatic? The test was bacteriostatic meaning that it stunted the growth of the bacteria.
  4. Look up the label of the preparation you tested. What is (are) the active ingredient(s)? The active ingredients are 10 percent bleach and 3 percent hydrogen Peroxide.
  5. Using your textbook or another reference, find the method of action of the active ingredient(s) in the test substance. One method of action would be Oxygen in H202 in a test tube. Oxygen can stunt the growth of bacteria.

  1. Which antimicrobial agents were most effective against each organism? The antimicrobial agents that were the most effective against each organism was Tetracyline, most effective against B subtilis. Penicillin was most effective against E coil.
