Just this past Monday, the baseball team at Piedmont College began their Spring practice routine. They are getting ready for what looks to be a very promising season. Everyday when the players get out of class, they all hustle down to the field so they can get prepared for a long day full of hard work and determination. Each player does all that he can do in order to make himself better, but at the same time they all must make sure to become stronger as a unit. Each practice is scheduled a day in advance so that the players as well as coaches know what they are supposed to doing and where they should be. The coaches plan out a time sheet to make sure the team knows where they are supposed to be at which time. These sheets split up everything, consisting of when each group is to hit batting practice, as well as when certain pitchers are supposed to get ready to throw. Overall, as a player and teammate on the baseball team at Piedmont, I am very excited for what is to come this season. It will not be an easy road. We will be playing some very stiff competition to say the least. But with all the hard work and commitment that we have been putting in as a team (that is, if we play as a team) there will be no one who can stop us. All that we need to do is play to the best of our
abilities and as a team and will be fine. The question is, will that happen? Who is going to be the one to step up, and who’s going to back down to the pressure?
