ADVERTISEMENT COPY

Advertising Copy is the written or spoken message which the advertiser wants to communicate to the targeted audience through an ad. It’s all the written or spoken words in ad expressed in words or figures designed to communicate the desired message to the customers. An Ad-copy is the output of the efforts of copy writers and artists. The meaning of copy varies with type of medium used in advertisement. Words, figures, voices, visuals, pictures and paintings in ads constitute copy.

OBJECTIVES OF AN AD-COPY

  • (^) To facilitate the designing of an effective ad.
  • (^) To persuade the reader, listener or viewer to act i.e., to buy a product or service.
  • (^) To create understandable and believable ad for the target market.
  • (^) To capture maximum attention of the prospective buyers.
  • (^) To create an idea of advertisement that will help the product to attain a unique image and position in the target market.
