Plasser's Quick Relaying System: A Modern Approach to Track Renewal, Exercises of Civil Engineering

An abstract of a project implementing plasser’s quick relaying system (pqrs) for track renewal. The system, designed by plasser’s india limited, can relay 130m of track in an hour, reducing traffic disruption, labor requirements, and achieving higher precision. The project also covers the preparation of sleepers in new panels, track machine features and principles, and necessary works before, during, and after deployment.

ABSTRACT
In earlier days after the life time of the Sleepers, Rails relaying work is carried out
manually by which the time for blocking traffic is higher, it requires a large work force
and finally quality and heavier track structure with highest precision cannot be achieved.
So in this project we are implementing a new system for renewal of existing track which
is called as Plasser’s Quick Relaying System (PQRS) designed by Plasser’s India limited.
It has a capacity of relaying the track of 130m in just one hour. The Proposed System can
overcome the maximum drawbacks of the conventional method of track renewal.
Our project not only deals with method of relaying but also deals with the method
of Preparation of sleepers in the new panels. It also includes the features and principles of
track machines, works required before, during, and after deployment of track machines,
rules for moment and working of track machines, planning operation and monitoring of
track machines.
